As we take in the remaining weeks of summer, you may be having your own “back to school” moment in which you hunker down and consider your career plans moving into this Fall. You might be asking the question, Where do I start looking? in which case, it’s important to remember the key resources available to you as an alum:
Handshake: On July 5th, Emerson College Career Services launched this career resource which provides job postings from our partner employers seeking Emerson candidates. If you’ve heard a little buzz about it, it’s for a good reason. If you haven’t done so already yet, fill out your profile, and get started. Through Handshake you have access to employer information, job postings, and a library of resources to help you determine and maintain your professional brand. While we recommend taking a look at relevant postings, and also join Emerson Connections, a great way to re-engage with networking, one of the primary ways that lead to opportunities.
CareerBuzz: Stay informed and empowered in your industry. Through CareerBuzz, we spotlight our partner employers, as well as alumni. You will learn from your peers and professionals in the field, which can keep you plugged in to industry trends, though leaders, and relevant information on the work you do. Jobs for Emerson College Alumni: On Facebook, we have a private group for alumni where we post job opportunities on a regular basis. We keep in mind that some of you may be looking for short term gigs, full time positions and are also at different stages of your career. Join and stay in the loop!
