Greetings Emerson!
At Career Services, when we work with the faculty and staff of Emerson College, our aim is to guide our students and alumni within career paths that are known for being unpredictable, very non-linear, sometimes scary, but no doubt exciting. Along the way, Emersonian’s find their voices and ways to be effective storytellers, no matter their career path.
In honor of stories, I want to take a moment and introduce you to a series we’re calling Women of Emerson. It goes without saying that women have contributed so much to our country’s collective story, and continue to do so as more career goals, challenges and aspirations are brought to the forefront on a local, national and global level.
Without the arts, communication, and of course, innovation, it’s easy to gloss over and forget what makes and upholds a culture and ultimately history. In honor of Women’s History Month, we want to shine a light on the women who are a part of the Emerson community, and provide insight from their stories, experiences on the job, and the people who supported them along the way. As a proud alumna myself, I’m excited to share what I think are informative and empowering profiles of women who show just what an Emerson alumna can do. The women recognized are Emerson faculty and alumnae from various backgrounds, graduation years and programs from all corners of the creative universe!
I also want to take a moment to thank the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, The Elma Lewis Center, Intercultural Student Affairs, and Alumni Relations for their support.
