Boston While Black is a membership network for Black professionals, entrepreneurs, and students who are seeking connection & community. Through a digital members-only platform and weekly programming and events, BWB serve members who are seeking access to mentors & leaders who they can relate to, culturally relevant social experiences, resources on how to navigate the city, and an authentic personal and professional network.
Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA)
The ALPFA Boston chapter was established in the year 2000. The chapter’s mission is to provide opportunities for leadership development, community engagement, and networking for Latino men and women in the Greater Boston area that will help propel their careers and livelihood. As one of ALPFA’s largest chapters in the country, ALPFA Boston has over 10,700 members and more than 30 corporate and community partners. Our membership is comprised of approximately 79.3% of professionals and 20.7% of students (college undergraduate and graduate students).
National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAP)
NAAAP Boston is the local chapter of National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is dedicated to cultivate, support and promote Asian American leaders through professional development programs, community services engagements, and diverse industry connections. NAAAP Boston was founded in 1986 and is the largest of the 27 chapters and associate chapters in North America. With more than 400 members, we are currently the fastest growing Asian American professionals organization in Boston.
National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ)
The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides innovative, quality programs and services to its members. The organization advocates on behalf of Black journalists and media professionals in the U.S. and worldwide. NABJ’s membership is more than 4,000 strong and includes emerging journalists, professional journalists, student journalists, journalism educators and media professionals of all kinds.
Network for Arts Administrators of Color (NAAC)
NAAC Boston offers participants the opportunity to connect, network, and share learnings with the intent to empower, elevate, and retain talented professionals of color in the sector. The creation of this network reflects the importance of visibility for professionals of color, and the value that diverse perspectives contribute to an enhanced workforce and culture.
Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA)
The Asian American Journalists Association is a professional membership association founded in 1981 by a group of AAPI journalists seeking to support one another and to encourage more AAPIs to pursue journalism. Today, we continue to champion the development of AAPI representation and leadership in journalism through trainings, opportunities, and resources for our members as well as through nurturing and maintaining a network and community of AAPI journalists globally.
