Summer 2019 Experiences are currently live on Handshake. Submitting your internship for credit has never been this easy! All you need to do is follow the next three steps to a T! 3 Steps to Doing an Internship for Credit:
- Secure an Internship
Utilize Handshake to search for, apply to, and secure an internship, or find one on your own (i.e. Indeed.com, Internships.com, LinkedIn.com) - Submit a Proposal
Once you have received an offer, submit an Experience Proposal to the Career Development Center through Handshake. Your internship supervisor and your Emerson Faculty internship course instructor will be sent your proposal for review. - Register for the Corresponding Internship Course
• 499 or 690 – Select the internship course in your major.
• PDE 100 – 1-credit (all majors)
Remember: You are enrolling in a course. This course has assignments and homework and bears tuition costs. Read the Class Terms & Requirements.
For-Credit Internship Types:
- 4 Credit Internships
- 8 Credit Internships
- 2 Credit Internships (Graduate Students)
- 1 Credit Internships (Professional Development Experiences)
Deadlines for 2, 4, & 8 Credit Internships*:
