Are you interested in working in NYC? We know many of our students hope to land in the Big Apple, and we have multiple resources as well as tips to help with your search! If you’re graduating in December, it’s not too early to apply for jobs. For spring grads, it’s a great time to start researching to prep for your job search, and utilizing these resources will help you do so.
Key Resources:
- The NY Jobs List – this is a list of opportunities specific to New York City. It is composed primarily of full-time positions in the area. The postings come from several sources, including alumni looking to recruit an Emersonian. The list comes out bi-weekly, typically on Wednesdays. Subscribe to the NYC Hot list here.
- Handshake – Make sure to add “New York, NY” to the location box when searching in NYC. I recommend running a few searches with different criteria; ie: use an industry for one search, and a keyword for another. Saving your searches will save you time!
- Networking Resources – Tap into your network (including Emerson alums) to learn more about companies, jobs, and life in NYC. Check out our networking resources, especially our guides on contacting alumni and informational interviews.
- One-on-one Career Counseling – for tailored advice depending on your specific interests. Schedule through Handshake (emerson.edu/handshake/) or give us a call!
