There are currently 38,020 examples of things you can do with an Emerson education, and counting. I’m talking of course about our current alumni community on LinkedIn that reflect how unique, and innovative our education is. We’re storytellers in several ways, hands down.
Yet I want to talk more about representation. At the Emerson Career Development Center, we’re not just considering how students develop their projects, business ideas or craft, but doing so in spaces where being successful is about working with diverse groups of people. It’s being able to listen, learn, observe, and be an ally.
With March being Womxn’s History Month it’s time for another, Womxn of Emerson series, now in it’s third year for spring of 2019. We are excited to say the least! During this month it only seems appropriate to think about representation of Womxn in the arts and communication and also the many many ways we define success!
A little throwback is in order here: I’ve had the honor to chat many times with alumna Susan Banks about her work in TV production, to connect with Jaqueline Holland about how she helps students developing their writing, and learning about the world of speechwriting when chatting with Nancy Kwan.
Womxn of Emerson is educational. It is also inspiring and a catalyst for ideas while providing a platform for alumnae voices. This March check out our 2019 group of amazing alumnae!
