Emerson College’s Career Development Center will host a panel of experienced recruiters on Wednesday, May 13th, to discuss challenges and opportunities that have come up over the course of COVID-19. While these are unprecedented times, it is the Career Center’s hope that this event offers some insight and clarity for those seeking career opportunities.

Introducing Our Panelists:

To help give some background on the event, we would like to take a moment to introduce our panelists for the event. Please know that we have sampled folx from a few different industries and specializations to help illustrate how a current career search looks across multiple fields:

Nora Munson ’14

Senior Staffing Consultant at Beacon Hill Staffing

Nora Munson is a Senior Staffing Consultant with Beacon Hill Associates, NYC. Originally from Pittsburgh, Nora graduated from Emerson College in 2014. She has been with Beacon Hill since July 2016 when she moved to New York. In addition to recruiting, Nora also works as a Yoga Instructor and Coach for CorePower Yoga, Williamsburg.

Shannon Chapleau ’09

Senior Managing Consultant at Beacon Hill Staffing

Shannon Dempsey Chapleau is a 2009 Emerson College graduate, majoring in TV/Video and minoring in Marketing Communications. While at Emerson, she participated in clubs such as NBS and Women in Motion, spending most weekends on film sets in producing positions. Originally from northern Virginia, she worked briefly in sales and hospitality after graduation, and started working in staffing in 2013. She has worked at Beacon Hill Staffing Group since September 2014, starting as a Staffing Consultant, promoted to Senior Staffing Consultant, and finally managing a recruiting team as a Senior Managing Consultant. She currently lives in downtown Boston with her husband.

Muna Moushien ’14

Manager of Professional Development at CBS News

Muna Moushien is the Manager of Professional Development for CBS News in New York City. As the primary recruiter of Broadcast Associates for Evening News, CBS This Morning, 60 Minutes, 48 Hours, Newspath, Face the Nation and Sunday Morning she is responsible for growing an inclusive workforce committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion by recruiting journalists for all off-air roles as directed by the CBS mission. Prior to joining the development unit, she led a team of 40 employees for the “CBS This Morning” broadcast. In 2014, she worked for the News Standards and Practices department as well as the Development and Diversity Unit for CBS News. Muna graduated from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts with her Bachelors of Science in Broadcast Journalism.

Tyler Crowe

Campus Recruiting Partner at Horizon Media

Tyler Crowe has worked on the Campus Recruiting team at Horizon Media for almost 2 years. He graduated from Skidmore College in 2018, where he received a degree in Business and Psychology, before launching his career in HR at Horizon. Tyler is excited to connect with students and alumni to share best tips and advice for landing a job during these uncertain times.

Paul Ziter

Talent Acquisition Partner at Horizon Media

Paul Ziter is a Talent Acquisition Partner at Horizon Media with a focus on entry-level staffing across the business. Prior to Horizon, Paul worked at a staffing firm and had a strong emphasis on recruiting creative advertising and media talent. He graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY with a degree in Business Marketing and Advertising.


Students and Alumni will have the opportunity to connect with panelists during the event, including asking any questions they may have about current career searching. Our goal is to provide the most relevant and impactful information during this event as we hope it will lift your efforts even higher.
