Page Programs offer a unique starting point within the Entertainment Industry. Often hosted by major studios, these programs are geared toward developing skillsets and knowledge that, in many cases, qualify you for entry-level positions.
Not every page program is the same. For example, NBCUniversal and CBS approach their recruiting process from two different standpoints. While NBCUniversal sets a strict deadline and opens specific periods for applying, CBS typically accepts Page applicants throughout the year and makes offers on a rolling basis.
This example is important as we’re now entering primetime for Page Program Applications and their deadlines. To help keep you up to date, we’ve provided info and links to the following active programs…
NBCUniversal Page Program:
The NBCUniversal Page Program is currently accepting applications until Friday, February 28th. This is a highly-competitive opportunity which encourages you to think critically about your application within this short timeframe. (Remember — our office is always here to help!) The NBCUniversal Page Program asks for a 1 year commitment.
Throughout their year, Pages build skills, contribute in meaningful ways to the company and grow personally. After a year of challenging, eye-opening and diverse rotations, Pages graduate from the program uniquely positioned to tackle an exciting career in media.
After completion of their year, Pages will receive an additional 3 months of time in the Program to apply to full time roles at NBCUniversal with support from the Program. During that 3 month period, Pages will be assigned additional projects that will further enhance their candidacy for these roles. Placement at NBCU after program completion is not guaranteed.
ViacomCBS Page Program:
CBS collects applications on a rolling basis throughout the year. Similar to NBC, CBS requires a commitment for Pages who are accepted. Pages must accept a 2 year part-time commitment to the program.
The CBS Page Program seeks individuals with an interest in learning more about the entertainment industry. As representatives of the CBS Guest Relations department, CBS Pages provide assistance to production companies on the CBS Studio Center lot by interacting with and assisting their audience members. This is a 2 year part-time opportunity that will allow individuals to be a part of the CBS team and gain hands on experience in the entertainment industry, develop personal and professional skills and gain insight into studio operations.
Paramount Pictures Page Program:
Paramount Pictures offers another part-time Page Program with a focus on becoming a Brand Ambassador. Similar to other programs, this role most often conducts studio tours and must be capable of communicating Paramount’s work to others.
Where programs sometimes offer a variety of roles, Paramount’s is somewhat limited to studio tours and promotions.
From their site: “Are you ready to be a Paramount Page? We are currently recruiting for the Spring 2020 Page Class with an anticipated start date in April 2020. Pages at Paramount are the ambassadors of our company! Whether giving tours or working on one of our many exciting assignments across the lot, our Pages are a signature of our culture!”
