Greetings, Emersonians! Spring Break is upon us.
Here are 3 Tips to stay Future Ready over Spring Break.
1.) Check out Handshake
Handshake offers a wide variety of services to students, including internships and jobs for the summer. Click on the Jobs section, where you can find the perfect summer internship for you by using the filters.
Take the time over break to build up your Handshake profile, which can make you stand out to employers. Don’t forget to check out what events are coming up, too! Our Future Ready event is happening Wednesday, April 13th from 12:00 PM-3:00PM in the Student Performance Center in the Little Building.
2.) Schedule an appointment with a Career Counselor
Find that perfect job or internship? Need some help building up your resume or cover letter or interview prep? No worries, the Career Development Center has got your back. You can schedule an appointment with a Career Counselor through Handshake to help get you prepared.
3.) Build Your Skills with Future Ready
You may have noticed the Future Ready emails in your inbox. Here’s why they are there! Future Ready gives you an opportunity to learn about the many departments and services on campus that can make you feel better prepared for your future. Check out the first two weeks here and add to your career skills.
4.) Relax!
I know, I know, I said only 3 Tips. But who would I be kidding if I didn’t tell you to relax over break? Connect with yourself and your loved ones, so that when you return to campus, you’ll be more than ready to end the school year strong.
