No matter how busy you get or how entrenched in the workplace you become, you need to remember the one job you’ll always have: Taking care of yourself. No matter what.
The last few weeks of the semester are going to feel like a bit of a whirlwind. Finals, deadlines, and career anxiety are all out there floating around in the student ecosphere just waiting to paralyze your productivity and make you feel like you’re not prepared for life after Emerson College. But you are. You’re prepared because this is what you’re continuously working toward and it’s what you and your superstar self were made for. So remember: Do not make the next few weeks too hard on yourself. Breathe, take breaks, and remember to use the resources around you.
Remember: We are here to help. If you have any lingering questions about your path after Emerson or if you’re feeling unprepared for the professional world, just remember that Career Services is here to help. Make an appointment with our office either now or over the next few weeks or this Summer (we will have Summer office hours!) and feel free to check in with us if you’re feeling anxious or worried. You do not have to go through this alone!
And on the topic of our Adulting Workshops: If you went, that’s great! If you didn’t, that’s absolutely fine – we still have our recaps of each day available online and we’re happy to put you in touch with the right resources if you drop us a quick line about any workshops you might have missed.
But, more than anything, just remember: You’re capable, you’re confident, and you are going to be a college graduate.
