This is pretty huge – last week the Princeton Review released their rankings for the best Career Services in the country, naming Emerson College as #4 on the list. For those who don’t know, The Princeton Review offers prospective college students a variety of admission resources including SAT prep books, information about colleges all over the world, and national rankings of college resources. So… they’re a pretty big deal. But let’s talk a bit about how this ranking was determined:
The Princeton Review makes selections based on surveys sent to the administrators at several hundred four year colleges and draws additional data from their staff and a 24-member National College Counselor Advisory Board. Their annual guides use a student-focused methodology which gathers data from an 80 question survey designed to capture the student experience at a particular school. From there, they compile 63 lists which rank different departments and services. You can learn more about their methodology here.
